Broad Comedy has worked with women's health organizations for more than a decade, bringing our comedy troupe's signature brand of riotous feminist comedy to your supporters at fundraisers for local affiliates. There has NEVER been a time as good as this to motivate the younger generations to become new members and activists, and to re-inspire current members. A feisty Broad Comedy show is the answer to getting these activists out and ACTIVE, and to getting donations in an easy and fun way. We do smart, thoughtful framing of women’s health issues, by putting them into song and sketch and get your audiences inspired.

Recently, Broad Comedy headliner and creator, Katie Goodman sent out a link to her video, "Sorry Babe, You're a Feminist." We were thrilled when Planned Parenthood made it the Song of The Week on their Facebook page and we have gotten over 500,000 views between Facebook and YouTube! But most importantly we are excited to have gotten a conversation started among young women.

You are out there doing the hard work, and we are all so grateful. We love being a part of the cause.
Here is what we do:

How? Through ticket sales and donations made on the spot from your audiences who get inspired at the event. We can also offer Katie Goodman as a highly successful auctioneer for a live auction during the event.

• A full two-act show in a theatre with an intermission.

HERE ARE EXAMPLES of how we helped Planned Parenthood
and other reproductive rights events succeed:

• In Montana, Planned Parenthood has an annual 300-person dinner. The first year that we did our show, Planned Parenthood of MT had twice as many people as the year before, which they said was due to bringing us in. And the second year grew another 30%! Michael DeGroat, the Director Of Development said: "We owe that large turn out to the fact that Broad Comedy was a big pull for people. The crowd loved them. The material was right on track with our mission and inspired our audiences and gave them renewed energy for the cause."

• At Planned Parenthood Great Plains in Oklahoma City, we helped raise $135,000 at their gala where a board member said, “​Their production was really polished, first-class entertainment and the subject matter the right tone for the Planned Parenthood audience!"

• At Boulder Valley Women’s Health, we did a fundraiser for the Boulder Women's Clinic in a 900-seat theatre and did a two-act show. Tickets were between $20 (General Admission) and $75 (VIP seats). The whole event grossed $85,000, but the most exciting thing was they brought in 250 new members that night who came because of the show and didn't know much about the Clinic's organization beforehand. Katie and the Broads went back for a second and third year (with totally new material both times) and brought in more new members and more money. Katie's live auctioneering brought in 50% more than the professional auctioneer had the year before!  

• At Hudson Peconic, we helped raise $594,700!!!

• We are about to return to Mt. Baker Planned Parenthood and PPGWNI for the third year in a row!

• Raised over $115,000 on our California tour at Planned Parenthood Central California and Planned Parenthood Mar Monte!
